ROBLOX Horror Game & Dungeon Crawler

Left Behind is a horror game with a completely random dungeon generation system.

Inspired from "Decked Out" on hermitcraft, there were tons of features planned like:

  • Artifacts
  • Bosses
  • 5 dungeon levels

Features I made:

  • Completely random dungeon generation
  • Randomized loot
  • Monster pathfinding system
  • Sprint system
  • Heartbeat system
  • Camera shake based on "fear" level

This is a decked-out inspired game where you load into the dungeon with up to 10 cards, each applying various effects based on their specs. Throughout the dungeon, there are monsters that get progressively more difficult as you go deeper. The longer you stay in the dungeon, the more the hazard grows, blocking more pathways to escape. Every 10 studs, there is a random chance of generating clank, which alerts monsters to your location and further increases the hazard.

Drawing a card has a 5% chance of destroying it.

There are 10 sets of artifacts, each with common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary items. Legendary artifacts can be brought into the dungeon and each has a specific purpose. If you bring a legendary artifact into the dungeon, there is a chance for a portal to spawn on level 5, which brings you to a boss battle against a monster.

In future updates, there could be different dungeons that start off harder but offer better cards. I also want to add a system similar to Soul Seeker, but not a blatant ripoff.

You should be able to upgrade your cards by combining three level 1 cards into one random level 2 card, and the same thing for level 3 cards.

There will be five different levels in the dungeon, with the difficulty setting determining how dangerous your run will be.

  • This game was scrapped due to me being motivated to rejoin the SCPF genre, but I learned alot with the dungeon generation & monster pathfinding systems.
